The Boyfriend League Review

Happy Friday Everyone!

I hope you all had a great week. Since it is Friday I decided to end the week on a light note with a book that will have you laughing until your abs hurt. The Boyfriend League by Rachel Hawthorne takes you back to your teenage years, where you would do anything to get a boy to be your boyfriend, expect these boys are baseball players.

The book description was taken from the Goodreads website:

“From the author of Labor of Love and The Boyfriend Project comes another beach-perfect novel of fun, friendship, and the boys of summer, great for fans of Stephanie Perkins, Lauren Barnholdt and Susane Colasanti.

Dani’s a tomboy, totally useless when it comes to romance. But this summer she and her best friend have a foolproof plan to change all that. Both of their families will be hosting summer league baseball players—a whole league of potential boyfriends!”

Dani would rather play in the dirt than put on makeup, but she knows that won’t get her a boyfriend. When an opportunity is dropped in her lap, her and her best friend decide this summer they are going to have a summer fling with one of the baseball players. Dani does everything to get the players attention, but once she gets a certain boys attention, she discovers that maybe she wants something else. Will Dani be able to come out with a boyfriend or will she go back to being single once the summer is over?

Rachel takes the reader on an action packed adventure where you will laugh, cry, and be rooting for Dani to find what she is looking for. You may even have flash backs to when you were in High School, and what you went through to get a boy to notice you, I know I did. This book is such a feel good romantic comedy, that you will want to stay up the whole night to see how it ends. Rachel is one of those authors that knows how to speak to a reader through her words, and will make you feel like you are right there with Dani as she goes on one wild adventure.

Time to find a boyfriend and join the league my dears!
