The Vampire Wants A Wife Review

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we are the second day into August. This year feels like it just started, but it already more than half way over. Today I wanted to review another fun supernatural book, that I enjoyed immensely. The Vampire wants a Wife by Andie M. Long, is a laugh out loud journey, that will have you loving the characters.

The book description was taken from the Goodreads website:

“Running a dating agency can be a killer…

Shelley Linley is sick of sickos. Yet another prankster has applied to her dating agency. This one says he’s a vampire and he wants Shelley to help him find a wife.

Meeting him for a second interview against all her better judgement, Shelley discovers that he has no clue about women. A shame because he’s super-hot, amusing, and has a lot of single friends he could recommend her struggling business to, even if he does say they’re werewolves and demons. She has to help him, even if he’s crazy.

If she can ignore his delusions, she’s sure she can help him meet someone. But when death threats start arriving on her doorstep, Shelley’s not sure she’s cut out for the job… then her dating algorithm states she’s his ideal partner. Now she’s not sure if she should take the risk for love, or run like hell.

Welcome to Withernsea and the Supernatural Dating Agency, for readers of Michelle Rowen, Gerry Bartlett and Michele Bardsley who like their humour to have bite.”

This book is told from two points of view, Shelly’s and Theo’s. The author has created a book with an amazing plot line that will leave you hooked from t he very first chapter. I found myself relating to Shelly in a lot of ways, and when I was reading at work, I would get weird looks for laughing out loud. Andie also takes all the stereotypes you may have heard about supernatural creatures and puts them to the test in hilarious ways. I haven’t read any of the other stories in the series yet, but trust me they are definitely on my to read list.

This book is so full of twists and turns, that you think you will have something figured out and than BOOM, the story takes it into a whole other direction. There are several bomb drops that you don’t see coming, but when they happen things that happened earlier in the book start to make sense. This book does have one descriptive sex scene in it, but it isn’t that bad, but I like to let people know. It also shouldn’t stop you from reading this funny quick read.

Go on a date with a Vampire my dearies!
