Hush Review

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

We have reached the middle of the week, and are that much closer to Friday! Today I decided to do a review on a romance that I read a while ago, and keep reading because I love it so much! Hush by Micalea Smeltzer, isn’t your typical boy meets girl, and they insta fall in love, but it’s more of a realistic relationship that is not perfect.

The book description comes from the Goodreads website:

“Siva and Sloane.

Two unlikely people brought together by a tragedy.

He’s moody and dark.

She’s pleasant and light.

But there is an undeniable attraction between the two despite the many obstacles that stand in their way.

Sloane Campbell is an American, living in London as a reporter for a celebrity newspaper, with her boyfriend Devak. Sloane believes she loves Dev. But when he dies and she meets his older brother, Siva, for the first time she begins to find out what true love is. True love is the kind that scares you, hurts you, and messes with your mind. True love is when you will take a bullet to save the other person.

Siva Kapur is an angry, spiteful, moody, arrogant, businessman until the day he meets Sloane. He can’t get her off his mind. He tracks her down, rescuing her from his jerk of a father who has just given her an eviction notice, and proposes that she live with him for the time being… Or until he can convince her that true love lies with him. He may even take a bullet for it.”

I don’t want to give anything away with this story, but the relationship development between Sloane and Siva, is so amazing. Micalea gives the reader an amazing story that is so life like that you can picture this type of relationship in real life. It isn’t one of those unbelievable relationships, but has more of a complicated path to happiness that everyone can relate to. I will warn you there is a situation that may trigger you, but you shouldn’t let that stop you from reading this amazing work of art. If you love romances that are real, than you need to read this book as soon as possible.

Go on a rough, complicated journey of love my dear readers!
