Today I decided to do another book tag, and when I came across this one, I knew that I had to do it. The Guilty Reader Book Tag asks you questions that are personal, and will have you admitting things as a reader that you probably would never have admitted in the first place.
So let’s get this book tag started!
1. Have You Ever Re-gifted A Book That You’ve Been Given?
I have actually. My parents bought me a book that they thought I would like, but I didn’t so I actually sold it to Half Price Books. So hopefully, by now someone bought it and loved it.
2. Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t?
Yes, I am guilty of this. A co-worker wanted me to read a book, and I told her I did, but really I got bored and skimmed it to basically get the gif of it, and I feel bad about that.
3. Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?
Nope, because I don’t let people borrow my books so I don’t ask to borrow other people’s books. My books are like my children, and I only let my mom read them, because I know where she is and that she will return it.
4. Have you ever read a series out of order?
Yes by accident though. I picked up the book Overbite by Meg Cabot, and after I read it, I discovered that it was actually the second book in the series. So naturally I had to read Insatiable which is the first book.
5. Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?
Not unless they asked me too. I don’t believe in spoiling good books that people are reading, because I want them to have the same ah ha moment I did, and love it like I did. But if they ask me to tell them something, I will.
6. Have you ever doggy eared a book?
I am unfortunately guilty of this, because in High School I would do this to my required reading books. But as I got older and fell in love with books, I never doggy eared a book again and always made sure to use a book mark, even if it was a receipt.
7. Have you ever told someone you don’t own a book when you do?
Nope. The books I decide to keep I am very proud I own, and since I have a lot half the time I don’t remember what books I own and which one’s I don’t, so half the time I don’t mention having them.
8. Have you ever told someone you haven’t read a book when you have?
Nope, normally it is the other way around. I have told people I have read a book when I haven’t.
9. Have you every skipped a chapter or a section of a book?
Yes, yes I have. Sometimes when a book is getting boring, I will skip to the end to see if it gets better, and if it doesn’t than I will stop reading it.
10. Have you ever bad mouthed a book you actually liked?
Nope. I only bad mouth books that I don’t like or that I feel people should know the truth about. Like Damsel, that is not a YA book and has so many triggers that the author and publisher does not warn you about.
I hope you learned more about me, and if you would like to do the book tag than you should. Or if you want to answer just one question, please feel free to answer it in the comments below!
