Love, Lies and Spies Review

Happy Friday Everyone!

We have made it another week, and will be entering another weekend soon! I just hope this year slows down some, but I know it will only get faster from here. I decided to close the week with an amazing Historical Fiction book that I loved so much! Love, Lies and Spies by Cindy Anstey, will take you on a wild ride of sorting through lies to find the truth.

The book description was taken from the Goodreads website:

“Juliana Telford is not your average nineteenth-century young lady. She’s much more interested in researching ladybugs than marriage, fashionable dresses, or dances. So when her father sends her to London for a season, she’s determined not to form any attachments. Instead, she plans to secretly publish their research.

Spencer Northam is not the average young gentleman of leisure he appears. He is actually a spy for the War Office, and is more focused on acing his first mission than meeting eligible ladies. Fortunately, Juliana feels the same, and they agree to pretend to fall for each other. Spencer can finally focus, until he is tasked with observing Juliana’s traveling companions . . . and Juliana herself.”

This book is full of twist and turns and espionage. You will fall in love with the characters, and you won’t see the truth bomb coming until the author wants you to. This is the first book that I read by Cindy and it certainly won’t be the last. She draws the reader into the story, and makes the characters so real that you become friends with them. You laugh, cry and scream with them. This book will leave you wanting more, and pretty soon you will be picking up more books by this amazing author!

Go on a journey for the truth my dear detectives and spies!
