Today I am going to review another fairytale retelling, this one is a retelling of Sleeping Beauty, and boy is it a twisty one! Beauty Sleep by Cameron Dokey is part of the Once Upon A Time Series and this retelling of Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorites!
The book description came from the Goodreads website:
“The Princess Aurore has had an unusual childhood. Cursed at birth, Aurore is fated to prick her finger at the age of sixteen and sleep for one hundred years — until a prince awakens her with a kiss. So, to protect her, Aurore’s loving parents forbid any task requiring a needle.

You may think you know the tale of Sleeping Beauty, however once you read this tale it will change what you know about this tale. Cameron takes the story we all know and love into a whole new world. You will be thrown twists and turns, but you will fall in love with the magic and the tale. It will have an ending that you won’t see coming, but it is an ending that you were hoping for throughout the entire book. If you like retellings, fairytales, adventure, romance, and a new take on a classic, then you need to pick up a copy of this book as fast as you can.
Go on a new journey with Aurore as she learns to follow her heart’s true desire.
