Conceal, Don’t Feel Review

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a safe and amazing week so far! Today I bring you another book from the amazing Twisted Tales Series, and I actually loved this book more than I thought I would. Conceal, Don’t Feel by Jen Calonita takes the tale of Frozen and flips it into an amazing tale that you didn’t know you needed.

The book description comes from the Goodreads website:

“What if Anna and Elsa never knew each other?
When a magical accident erases Anna and Elsa’s memories not only of magic, but of each other the sisters are separated for protection. But when Elsa unexpectedly finds herself as a young queen mysterious magic begins to happen and questions of her past start to form. Will the sisters ever be reunited?”

What if Frozen started with Anna and Elsa never knowing about each other? One being raised as the next queen and the other being raised by another family as a normal girl? That is what Jen explores in this twisted tale of magic, betrayal, family, sisterhood, and ice. The story is told mainly from Anna and Elsa’s POV, however Hans and Kristoff also get a couple of chapters to tell the story from their POVs as well. Yes, Hans is still a jerk and if you watched the movie before you read this book, you may want to scream “Don’t listen to him”, at the characters, like I did.

This story had me gripped from the first page, and I loved seeing how the story of the sister’s played out in this new world. There are some new characters, but the characters that we all know and love do make appearances in this book, even the characters that we didn’t care for too much, show up as well. This book will take you on a different adventure than the story you thought you knew, but the way Jen does it will make you fall in love with this story all over again.

Go on a journey with Anna and Elsa to see if they can make their way back to each other, and if the love of a sister can really break a spell!
