Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered Review

Hey Peeps!

Yes, you read the title of today’s post correct, and I have to admit that the title is what jumped out at me and made me pick it up to read the description in the first place. Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, is basically stories from their personal lives and it’s mixed with murderers!

The book description comes from the Goodreads website:

“Sharing never-before-heard stories ranging from their struggles with depression, eating disorders, and addiction, Karen and Georgia irreverently recount their biggest mistakes and deepest fears, reflecting on the formative life events that shaped them into two of the most followed voices in the nation.”

When I read this book, it was like I was sitting down with two of my best friends. I laughed and laughed until I snorted. One part had me laughing so hard, that I couldn’t breathe. I had never heard of these two amazing women or the podcast they do which is My Favorite Murderer. After I read the book, and fell in love with them, I started listening to their podcast, and oh my it is hilarious! I am obsessed with the ID channel, and even did a college report on serial killers and what made them tick. I was so happy that I decided to pick up this book, because I know if I didn’t read it I would have regretted it and would never have been introduced to Karen and Georgia.

They are both real about everything they are talking about, and they have dubbed their book the The Definitive How To Guide. They talk about red flags, stories that they experienced which should have raised their red flags, and so on. I don’t want to give too much away, because I honestly think to understand the greatness of these two women, you need to read this book and listen to their podcast! You won’t be disappointed if you are as morbidly obsessed with serial killers and the ID channel like I am!
