Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope everyone had a great, and relaxing weekend. I had a little bit of a cold, but rest and fluids helped me a lot. Today I bring you my review of a laugh out loud, romantic comedy, that is the high school version of The Bachelor. The Wrong Bachelor by Alexandra Moody, is one book that you never know you needed until you read it.
The book description comes from the Goodreads website:
“Bachelor: A desirable potential boyfriend. AKA not Cole Kingston.
Seventeen-year-old Madison (Madi) Matthews wants nothing to do with the dating competition her school is holding to raise money for charity. She’s never been interested in chasing a guy before and she certainly isn’t interested in competing for one in front of the whole school.
But, when Madi is voted as one of the ten “lucky” contestants, she’s given no choice but to vie for the heart of Lincoln High’s most eligible bachelor. The problem is, they’ve chosen the wrong guy.
Cole Kingston might be good looking, great with a football and practically the king of Lincoln High, but he’s also cocky, arrogant, a serial flirt and Madi’s sworn enemy.
Will she be able to resist him though when the competition heats up and he turns his charms on her?”
This book is told from both Madi and Cole’s POVs, which gives you a more in depth look into the characters, and their feelings. Madi doesn’t want anything to do with her school’s competition, however when she is nominated, she has no choice but to go along with the charade. This book made me laugh, cry, and scream for the characters to stop being so stupid. I have never actually watched an episode of the Bachelor, however with the way the author tells the story, you won’t be confused at all.
Alexandra Moody creates a story that will grab your attention and have you hooked from the very first page. I loved the characters of Madi and Cole. The reader gets to see their journey throughout the book, and with it being told from both their POVs, it gives the reader a more detailed story. If you are looking for a fun, interesting, and amazing romantic comedy, then you need to read this book as soon as possible.
