Happy Friday!
I hope everyone has had a great, stress free week, I know that I have definitely been trying to have a stress free week. I decided that on Friday’s, I am going to turn them into book tag days. You have all heard me say that I like doing book tags, because I feel like you get to know the blogger more. So let’s get started!
HOW MANY BOOKS IS TOO MANY BOOKS IN A SERIES?
I would say about 8 or more, because I feel like if a series goes on too long the books feel rushed or start to repeat themselves. I can handle a spin off series with other characters, but they have to be different plots from the original series.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT CLIFFHANGERS?
I will be 100% honest on this one, I hate cliffhangers. Especially if I have to wait a year or more for the next book. But, I have never been a fan of cliffhangers even in TV shows. I like books that give you a happy ending and that get you excited about the other book, but I don’t like ones that leave you on the edge of your seat at the end wondering what happened.
HARDBACK OR PAPERBACK?
This one honestly depends, because I have both hardback and paperback. But if I have to chose, I would say paperback, because to me they are easier to carry around places.
FAVORITE BOOK?
Always and forever, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
LEAST FAVORITE BOOK?
Hmm, this is a slightly harder one, because there have been a lot of books that I didn’t like, but I would say one of them would be Damsel. This book is supposed to be YA, but it isn’t. It’s about a Prince who is only known for his private part and to defeat a dragon, he cut a hole in her scales and had sex with her. The dragon apparently turned into a women, but that was as far as I got. I couldn’t get over that and it killed the book for me.
LOVE TRIANGLES: YES OR NO?
I like reading books with love triangles, as long as they are written well and there is no cheating.
THE MOST RECENT BOOK YOU JUST COULDN’T FINISH?
That would be House of Beating Wings, however in the books defense I wasn’t in the mood for it, so I will definitely be going back to read it. Some books I try to get into and just can’t either because of the story or because I am in a reading slump and this book fell into the reading slump category.
A BOOK YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING?
Murder at the Freak Show by Helen Goltz.
THE LAST BOOK YOU RECOMMENDED TO SOMEONE?
The Wrong Bride, which is what I reviewed in my most recent post.
OLDEST BOOK YOU’VE READ BY PUBLICATION DATE?
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
NEWEST BOOK YOU’VE READ BY PUBLICATION DATE?
Belladonna by Adalyn Grace.
FAVORITE AUTHOR?
I can’t answer this one, because I have over 20ish or more favorite authors.
BUYING BOOKS OR BORROWING BOOKS?
Buying because I want to own my books and take my time reading them.
A BOOK THAT YOU DISLIKE THAT EVERYONE ELSE SEEMS TO LOVE?
50 Shades of Gray, couldn’t get past all the spelling errors, which honestly ruins a book for me.
BOOKMARKS OR DOG-EARS?
Bookmarks, I will even tell my students to use book marks, because I don’t want my pages damaged. I also tell them to treat their books like their babies because I don’t want them damaged.
A BOOK YOU CAN ALWAYS REREAD?
So I have three. Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.
CAN YOU READ WHILE HEARING MUSIC?
I can as long as it is instrumental music.
ONE OR MULTIPLE POVS?
I like both options, however I like multiple POVs better because I think you get more out of the story.
DO YOU READ A BOOK IN ONE SITTING OR OVER MULTIPLE DAYS?
This honestly depends on if the book sucks me in so much, I can’t put it down or how tired I am from working.
A BOOK YOU’VE READ BECAUSE OF THE COVER?
Slayer, because it had a girl with a stake in her hand on it, and let me tell you, when I found out it was in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe, I knew I had to read it.
If you would like to do this tag please do and tag me, so I can see your answers! Hope you enjoyed learning more about me! Happy Reading!
Fun post! I had never heard of Damsel, so I looked it up. I feel like allegories are really hit or miss for me, too. Sorry it was such a bad experience. Thanks for sharing this tag though!
